Job responsibilities

​Work collaboratively with colleagues within the integrated and partnership team across council and NHS, and make a proactive contribution delivering corporate objectives to tackle Health Inequalities.

Provide leadership and management to achieve high performance and effective operational delivery. This will include managing the effective use of resources and staff, and providing leadership, expert guidance and support to the team managers and staff teams within your service area.

Operational accountability for services being delivered in partnership with other stakeholders ensuring they are delivered in line with all Council and health policies, procedures, performance management and budget requirements.

This post will be responsible for delivering on tackling Health Inequalities which is one of the priorities for the Brent ICP, which incorporates Brent Council, NWL CCG Brent team, community providers of NHS services and voluntary organisations.

Lead the annual planning, monitoring and review across the designated service areas, including the budget and other resources to enable the development of a cost effective business plan which meets the Council’s and Brent ICP financial and performance targets.

Ensuring confidentiality and information sharing protocols are met. Carry out duties with due regard to the Council’s and Brent ICP customer care; equal opportunities; information governance, data protection and health and safety policies and procedures.

Lead and model a culture of collaborative working, focussed on holistic services that deliver good outcomes for the people of Brent, developing and modelling new ways of working including new models of co-production, contributing to the development of the evidence base on addressing health inequalities and ensuring the impact of this work is evidenced.

Lead and manage a portfolio of customer focused services in alignment with both corporate and departmental aims and priorities.

Work closely with the ICP Managing Director to support effective working relationships with relevant portfolio holders in the council, NHS and Voluntary sector
