Job Role: Head of OD & Change
Job Location: Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council
Salary: £500 per day
Working Period: Monday – Friday
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Assignment Period: 6+ months (temporary contract)

The post holder will lead Council-wide transformation programmes to enable the organisation to be high performing and to ensure that leaders and managers model the council’s values and behaviours, engage effectively with customers and colleagues, and are equipped to drive accountability and ensure delivery.
The post holder will play a key role in working with Elected Members, Strategic Directors and their management teams to provide challenge in order to drive the required organisational development and change, identify new opportunities and manage interdependencies and risks to achieving sustainable change.
Role Responsibilities:
Demonstrate experience of initiating, leading and managing complex organisational development and transformation programmes across a broad range of services within a large complex organisation and which have achieved significant outcomes.
Substantial and successful direct management experience within the specialism of this post, including policy development, corporate/strategic planning and managing organisational development and/ or change.
Experience of managing people effectively within a customer focused, internal service delivery environment.
Successful budget management in a comparable organisation including evaluation of competing budgetary priorities within tight financial limits
Experience of performance management and quality assurance processes in service delivery.
Knowledge of current Local Government democratic processes and understanding of the political context.
Experience of applying risk management in setting strategy and in identifying and managing principal risks to achievement of objectives.
Experience of successful project management and delivering services to set standards.
