Working Period: Monday – Friday
Working Hours: 35 hours per week
Assignment Period: 6+ months (temporary contract)

Our Learning and Information Library Officers work within the local government sector, supporting library services and providing access to educational and informational resources. You will be part of a dynamic team, assisting the public with information inquiries, managing library resources, and promoting educational services.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Providing assistance to library users, answering inquiries, and supporting their access to learning and information resources

  • Managing library collections, cataloging materials, and ensuring availability of resources

  • Organising educational programs, workshops, and events for the community

  • Supporting the use of digital resources, online databases, and e-learning tools

  • Promoting library services and engaging with community groups to enhance outreach

  • Assisting with library administration, including record-keeping and data management

Your role may also include working with:

  • Local educational institutions

  • Community and social groups

  • Library users of all ages

  • Local council departments

Minimum Requirements for the Role:

  • Previous experience in a library, education, or information services role

  • Strong IT and digital literacy skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to organise and promote learning programs
