The jobholder will be expected to undertake:
Mechanical Design & Development
· Complete engineering designs using approved tools (Solidworks).
· Understand other tools that support Mechanical content delivery (e.g., Altium).
· Produce design documentation and any required supporting documents for a Manufacturing Data Pack (MDP).
· Understand and implement the company’s environmental, health & safety policy by accepting individual responsibility and responsibility for those personnel under their authority, including others who may be affected by the company’s activities.
· Support production tasks where required, including Issue Management.
Technical Governance
· Review and release mechanical design work.
· Ensure MDP is robust and fit for purpose.
· Define and agree mechanical work packages (scope, estimates, costs).
· Identify and mitigate technical risks.
· Set a strong personal example regarding all health and safety matters.
